Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) offers fundamental dental services for children aged 2 to 17. It involves a cap of $1,000 across two consecutive calendar years. This period starts with the child’s first eligible dental service. Services covered under CDBS include examinations, X-rays, cleanings, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, extractions, and partial dentures.
Orthodontic or cosmetic dental work, as well as dental services provided in a hospital, are not included in the CDBS.
